Everyone, like, does stuff!
Do you like stuff? From homewares and jewellery to prints and fashion? If you do, well, there is a happening just for you where 'everyone, like, does stuff', or ELDS. Also known as the 'East London Design Show'.
This year is the 20th edition of the show that brings together a whole lot of independent designers for four days under one very cool roof. Yep, in occasion of this milestone the show will be held, for the first time, in the Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane which is a very handy walking-distance from Liverpool St. station. You will be glad to know that the brewery has resorted to putting up human-sized spikes on the roof to sort out the issue of guys running around in their pants up there. So far, so good.
The doors will open at midday on Thursday, 5th of December and close at 6pm on Sunday, 8th December. We are looking forward to it for a few reasons. One, it is a milestone for us - not quite at the level of the ELDS 20th but nonetheless a milestone - as it was where we first showed our stuff to the public last year. Two, we are happy to see all the other designers (there are over 50 in the 'Fashion' section alone) and have a snoop around. I personally am hoping to get all my Christmas shopping done in one swoop, under one roof. Third, I will be feasting on salted beef bagels for four days!
For all details please see here. We will be running some 2-for-1 offers on tickets and stuff in the coming weeks, so make sure to stay tuned!
