Its Not Me Its You, London

I am going to skip the whole 'how we got started' bit - I can say that, unfortunately, it was not from my parent's basement or my nan's garage so I will not have a 'Steve Jobs' romantic story to tell when our bags will be worn by 1.2 billion people. As they say in France, such is life. I do, however, want to give you some pointers on how we work in this very first blogpost.

  • We make and print all our stuff in the East End. We are very proud of this little fact.
  • We are not a seasonal brand, because London is not a seasonal city - it's got one season: grey. That is, if we come up with a new style, or find a new colour of leather, or a new slogan that inspires us, we will make and print straight away - that is the beauty of having local production and not having to send our orders out to China. The new bag will be placed on the website as soon as it is ready. Therefore, we will be adding and taking away very regularly from the website so make sure you stay tuned. Ja?

  • We like dialogue. So if you have anything you want to talk about, let us know. Obviously about handbags. But if you want to talk about North Korea's nuclear threat to the world, I will wikipedia Kim Jong-un and prepare my argument. Deal?

That is all I can think of at the moment. We hope you enjoy our website and stuff.

INMIY. x.

Welcome

Its Not Me Its You is a brand of leather stuff to carry other stuff, made and printed by hand in East London. Each piece comes with a slogan. Set up in late 2012 we pride ourselves on the quality of the leather, the craftsmanship and the foil-embossed slogans. Your bag is a statement, we believe, and with a 'Its Not Me Its You' bag you will be making that very clear for all to see. You can find us here and in Topshop (London).
