Once we pop...up, we never leave.
Good day, guten Tag, buongiorno, buen día. 美好的一天, ddiwrnod da and 良い一日!* It is Friday, the day of Frigg - the old English goddess equivalent of the Romans' Venus. Friggen brilliant! And I am here to post some sweet, sweet news from INMIY-land. But first a reminder to all that we are making a one-day pop-up appearance at Vibe Bar, 91 Brick Lane this very Sunday from 12pm til 10.30pm (see previous blogpost). I definitely won't be able to make it - hashtag sadface - but we have got a motley team together to cover the stall. So, if you are out and about in the East End, why not stop by?
Now for the big news, which is actually tied up to our "Vibe Bar stall preparation". You see, our friends from Lie Down I Think I Love You have, from the very beginning, been very helpful. They are also a handbag label, made in London. Anywho, they even offered to put some of our stuff on display in their shop a couple of months ago. It was never an official collaboration, like, they were happy to put some of our smaller bits and pieces in one of their display cabinets and that was that. In the run-up to this Vibe Bar thingy we are doing I went and got a brand new sign printed. The printers' was near Amwell Street, so I popped in to see Emily and Lisa.
They loved the new signage and, get this, have decided that we can set up our stall in their shop, starting next Monday. Like a permanent fixture, complete with table for our small pieces, a rail for all our bigger bits, and our brand new sign hanging above it. The prices will be the same as they are on the website and in Topshop.
Right, how to get to 33 Amwell Street, Islington, London EC1R 1UR? It is just off Pentoville Road and in between Angel Tube and King's Cross - about 10 minutes on foot from each. There are a lot of other independents on the street and a great little boozer by the name of Filthy McNasty's. Here it is on the map.
And there you have it, the latest bit of big news: a semi-permanent pop-up shop in the heart of London. Spread the word!
